our mission

we empower our community to disrupt the antiquated and destructive
take-make-waste system

with conscious consumption and design, we can make great changes together for the health and future of our shared planet

  • Regenerate natural systems

Assemble focuses on sourcing ethically produced product made from natural, regenerative materials.

We only prioritize organic, climate beneficial agricultural practices that ensure the resources we are using are replenished in a responsible way.

We partner with brands that share this ethos. Our brands carry certifications like organic, GOTS, and OEKO-Tex, which promise the use of non-hazardous chemicals during growing and processing. Our supplier code of conduct ensures that our partners abide by our strict environmental, social and governance standards - including but not limited to: paying a living wage, ensuring reasonable working hours and benefits, anti-discrimination, environmental impact accuracy and traceability, and uplifting their local communities.

  • Keep products in use

We believe that the products you buy should not become your burden.

Assemble extends the lifecycle of each product we carry. We ask that you always give those products back when you no longer need them so we can give them new life.

We purposely choose products that are manufactured to the highest quality standard, ensuring their durability. Our in-house team meticulously cleans, repairs and inspects all items in order for them to be reshared.

  • Eliminate waste

Assemble takes full lifecycle responsibility for all the products we carry.

We design waste out with out sourcing, collection and recycling strategy. We source natural, mono-fibers because of their ability to be recycled and composted. We collect our products through our Give Back process and we make ourselves responsible for recycling.

We are the first company in the US to compost our post-consumer clothing at commercial scale, safely returning products back to nature.

We are Certified B Corp.

As a circular retailer to be Certified B Corp, we're part of a global movement to redefine success in business.

By balancing profit with purpose, we seek to achieve higher standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability.

Certification is administered by the non-profit organization B Lab, much like how Agricultural Services Certified Organic (ASCO) certifies products as USDA Organic or the USGBC awards LEED certification to buildings.
